Mate 8 Internet Issue with T-Mobile

I just bought my Mate 8 with build number NXT-L29C636B103, but I have been experiencing mobile data issues with my T-mobile carrier that only when I get 4G symbol, I can go online. Whenever I am getting either 3G or H+, I can not connect to internet at all.

I have tried my wife's T-mobile phone, at the same location, her phone will get 4G LTE, my phone will have 4G, whenever she is getting 4G, I am getting H+ or 3G, which I can not go online anymore but on her phone, it still works.

Is is because of the version of the Mate 8 I am getting or the setting is wrong, please help. I have 5 more days to return this phone if it does not work out. (I really like this phone a lot............)

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Wireless & Networks>Mobile Networks>Preferred Network Mode, and tell us what it's set to.

It was set as LTE/WCDMA/GSM auto

I am running an AT&T and a T-Mobile sim, both show the 4G symbol.
