Not sure if it is the case on the mate 9, but on some phones, i found that going 2x will make it a little sharper for close ups.

Picked mine up last week and so far really like the phone. Haven't had too much opportunity to mess with the camera. Used the food filter on this pic.

Cert15z, how was the color accuracy on the fireworks picture? I have seen some cameras that give less than accurate color reproduction for fireworks and was wondering if this was the case here.

The colors aren't as vibrant in the photo as they are in real life.
