That's a good read. Thanks for sharing that. I currently have a S8 right now and am wanting to sell it to get a Mate 9. Hopefully I'll be able to do this.

Wait i thought you are getting an honor 8? That might make more sense especially if you are planning to get a mate 10 in a short time.

Well I'm planning on either the Mate 9 or depending on if I can sell my S8 what I'll do. If I sell the S8 I'll get the Mate 9 but if I can't unlock my S8 I'll get the honor 8.

Mate 9 is touching the perfect zone, Mate 10 could reach there, can't wait for it.

I'm also in doubt between wait for those smartphones from the list, or grab a Mate 9 until the end of the year (considering that most of them will be fully available then).

I loved the Mate 9, but the lack of IPXX rating and a mediocre camera left a lot to be desired.

Hopefully Huawei can make up for those shortcomings in the Mate 10.

The low light is a significant flaw for sure but I wouldn't call it a mediocre camera overall.

It was pretty mediocre. DxOMark only gave it an 85. To put it into perspective, Samsung and LG phones from two years ago had better scores.

I'd never ever choose a phone based on the DxO Mark. Camera is top of my list when looking for a phone but I'll watch loads of YouTube reviews and camera face-offs then use my own eyes to judge a phones camera. The quicker DxO is discredited and sent back to phone camera obscurity the better

Dxo certainly has issues. OnePlus 5 score is laughable.
