I bought my first Mate 9 at the full price of $599 back in January. But, I believe it was listed a bit higher before that in December 2016 (as high as $699, if I remember correctly?)
Oh right. It came out with $599 retail. That $699 might be for the Pro version

Oh OK. If it didn't do well at $600,the mate 10 pro at $900 is going to fall
Mate 10 Pro cost 39k Philippines pesos. Which converts to $780 usd. Maybe we can get something similar to it.

Not sure how many Mate 9 was sold as of right now. But they sold 5 mill in 4 months.

I was pricing it prior to it's formal release in the USA and I remember it being $700 or more. But by January, when it was released in the USA, it was priced at $599. I bought mine at that price and I was very happy with it. Several hundred dollars less than the S8+ or G6 at the time.

Found a article with the latest Mate 9 sale figures. Mate 9 has sold over 10 mills across the globe. Considering they were happy selling over 10 mills P9 phones earlier in the year, then the Mate 9 sold very well.

5 million is pretty good. $780 would imo be high for the mate 10 pro, unless they are willing to offer steep discounts like Samsung.

Oh ok. So I wasn't going crazy when I remembered the higher price.

That is s pretty good sales number. The mate 9 must be really popular in other countries.

$780 is a good deal. Cheaper than the other competition retail price.

I don't see them doing a steep discount. A small discount or freebies probably.
