When I first got my P20 Pro it would last over 2 days just normally and could go for a week on ultra power saving mode.

Now it will still last a full 24 hours but thats 24+ hours less than it did just over a month ago.

Is this just because now I have many apps installed or is there something else that may be the problem?

    Cheers,
    Chris

It's probably an app that you've downloaded that's doing something to your battery in the background.

Have you been running it as far down as you could before recharging it? You can totally kill a lithium battery in a month like that. 40% should be your "charge or turn off" point.

We don't use lithium batteries because they can handle deep discharging, we use them because they're light (lithium is the lightest metal aside from hydrogen) and because we can make thin phones with them, and that's what people want. In order to get that, you have to live with a 40% minimum. The idea, especially now that replacing a battery isn't just "buy one on Amazon for $10) is to make the battery last as long as possible, not to make the charge last as long as possible.

Kill a battery in a month sounds a bit much

Uninstall FB and Messenger app, with them installed while idle the battery would go down over 10% in 10 hours or so, with them gone it went down 1% in 10 hours or so, huge difference. Or another app could be eating battery in the background.
