Will Huawei work on ATT? I have seen that the Govt does not allow them for security reasons. Dont know if that is true so I am asking.

That's only in government positions not the normal public.

Huawei phones work perfectly fine. The only issue is No "HD Voice" (VOLTE) and wifi calling because AT&T blocks those features on BYOD phones.

Why would At&t block wifi calling.
    Don't make sense.

I'm guessing that they only want AT& T branded phones using that service so they can force buyers to buy those phones and sign up for contracts.

With my Mate 20X, in getting 4G LTE in my area. I'm heading to central Louisiana next week to visit my folks. It's a pretty rural area, so I'm curious how reception will be. With my Pixel 2XL last year, there was one 20 mile stretch of road where reception dropped to zero. We'll see how this phone does on that road.

Just got back from Louisiana. The area where my parents live is known to have very little coverage via AT&T. True to form, the coverage was pretty weak, but I never completely lost it. My family members use a variety of Android and Apple devices, and we all had similar coverage. I'm very satisfied with the frequencies this device can access.
