After the last update, my Huawei P20 Pro will not download movies. Not from Netflix or Google play movies.
I have reset the phone several times, and emptied the cache as well.
    Anyone have the same problem?

Welcome to Android Central! What happens when you try to download -- do you get an error message? Are the apps set to download to Internal Storage or an SD card (i.e., if you have an SD card inserted in the first place)?

Do those apps have storage permissions allowed?

Yes all the apps (Netflix and Google Play movie) have storage permission, however Google Play movies doesn't download movies, and Netflix just won't open. (Error 15001)

You actually did multiple factory resets?

I wonder if this could be a regional restriction. Where do you live?

I live in Norway. No factory resets, just restarted the phone several times.
This was never a problem before the latest update to EMUI (9.0.0.195)
Netflix won't open, Google Play movies will not download. Both these apps have storage permission

When you say you emptied the cache, do you mean that you cleared the app caches, or the system cache partition? https://www.hardreset.info/devices/h...recovery-mode/

Not a great deal of help but Netflix does give some info here

I cleared the app cache. Thanks for the tip. I'll try it out.

Ok, so clearing the system cache partition did not help. Everything is the same as it was.

Hi! They are set to download to internal storage.

Hmm, starting to run out of ideas. Try clearing the cache and data from Download Manager in Settings>Apps. You probably have to tap Menu>Show System to find it.

The P20 Pro does not have an SD card option.

Whoops! Thanks for the correction. I should've looked that up myself, but I didn't think that Huawei would go the no-SD card route!
