Watch 1 dead pixels?

Just picked up a new W1 on Black Friday. Noticed it has what looks like a line of dead pixels on the left side of the screen about a quarter of the way in, to the right of brightness icon. New to Android Wear, I'm guessing this isn't a feature Anyone else seen this?

Nope, definitely not a feature! I've never had that occur on my watch. Looks like you should exchange, if possible.

Does it happen on all screens, or just this one? If all, then definitely need to exchange.

If just this screen, then most likely caused by the software. Often the screen resolution does not match the resolution that the window was designed with, and the interpolation ends up with artifacts that cause effects like this.
