I am rooted froyo, if i unroot that and upgrade to 2.3.3. Is there any difference in the upgrade? I guess my question is, what am i missing out if i dont unroot, upgrade, root again?

hi can someone tell me why every time i try to go in to CWM it crashes ? i won't let me go up or down and i have to pull the battery any help ? thanks

Fixed the link.

Reboot your computer and try reflashing CWM with the adb command.

Im having a bit of a problem I just rooted my dinc 2 and I flashed miui rom and evey time I boot up it crashes. Any idea what's the problem ?

Try going back to CWM, flash both your data and cache, then reflash MIUI.

I have heard MIUI is a bit buggy but it shouldn't be that bad.

Taken from the unrevoked FAQ:

I'm running Linux and it won't detect my device!

Either run the program with root permissions, or add appropriate udev rules to the file /etc/rules.d/51-android.rules. Instructions are available at the Android Developers website.

Not sure whether that would also cause what's happening to you, but worth a shot.

I can't flash anything my cwm is not working i get this error E : Missing bitmap icon_error
(code -6) my phone won't even boot up. i tired doing a factory reset but i just takes me back to cwm and it crashes is there a odin file or something i can flash ? please help !!!

Pull battery.
Hold Power and Volume Down to get into HBOOT.
Reflash CWM following the guide of this thread on page 2.

i got it to work but should my screen flash or something because it did not ? and now it won't go in to cwm it will just stay on the htc screen

You mean it stops when flashing a ROM? I would try a different ROM if so.

i tried that and still nothing plus now my cwm won't work keeps on crashing. what should i do ?

Hey guys, I've been nervously waiting for a few minutes and nothing has happened so here's the scenario:

I've ran revolutionary just according to the directions and did the zerging root line, sending in caroline, cleaning up, rebooting to fastboot, then the lemons line. After that it says waiting for fastboot, and my Dinc2 is stuck on the fastboot usb screen, the up/down buttons dont work.

It's been at this screen for probably 10 minutes now. Is this normally how long it takes?

UPDATE: I fixed this problem by doing it in Ubuntu, super slick and easy! Thanks so much to everyone who worked on the project!

I know this is sounds dumb, but I am having issues navigating to the desktop with the command prompt? I've tried the cd desktop. also have tried cd C: \desktop and cd.desktop? any ideas? I haven't used cmd prompt before
