Inc2 internet ports

I have my INC2 connected to wifi either to a Cisco E900 or a Linksys Smart Wi-Fi. Either allow an internet connection. The Inc2 Wifi shows connected to either.

I can't get out.

I go to a linux machine and run nmap 192.etc to the Inc IP address and it shows all ports are closed.

I have tried turning off every option under Wireless except for wifi so it wouldn't appear to be a case of 3G overriding the connection. In my search for answers I've read this can be a problem.

I use PPC.

I use MightyText (free). Last week I was sending texts from a Chromebook just fine then it stopped.

Ha. Don't know why but port 53/tcp just opened and things work.
