Okay, long story short, I believed my gps was busted so I started trying to unroot to take it in and get it fixed.

I ran the "s-on" file from unrevoked - worked fine.
I ran the PB31IMG.zip (have tried a few different sources) - seemed to work
Just to be safe I run a factory wipe - again seemed to work.
After waiting a few hours I never got an OTA update notice for 2.2. So i went looking for the manual update, got it made sure it was named update.zip (not update.zip.zip) Loaded into the stock recovery (not clockwork or other custom)
started the update and it craps out and fails.

I went back and formated phone storage, sd card, reapplied the PB31IMG and again after hour or so of no OTA update, went for manual update, same problem.

I have looked and looked and still cant figure out why this is failing. I had been using Virtuous 3.0.1 and 3.1 when it hit, with custom and stock kernels. No radio upgrades or anything fancy. Just dont know where to go from here.

edit: phone does work fine and after the 2nd, i think, PB31IMG load, gps started working again. I need to know incase a problem comes up later and I have to try reverting again.
