I'm using the Seidio Innocase II. It's a touch little case and doesn't add much bulk to the phone. I use it with the holster for work but otherwise it's just the case. Check out their website. They have other cases as well. Seidio
I got the Commuter case, primarily because my first need from a case was that it would have rubber over the buttons (I was hoping this would help me in pressing them). I've used Speck before and have very specific issues with them that were not addressed with the Inspire case.
The Commuter case is excellent, and does exactly what I wanted it to do. However, I found after used the phone in the case for awhile that I simply enjoyed it more out of the case. I'll still likely keep my Commuter around for those times when I want a little more protection.
i have the body glove, i love it and i usually don't like cases on my phone, its slim but still protects and if you would drop it screen down the case comes up the front just enough to hit the case and not the screen but not to bug you when your using the phone, i love it.
I've got the casemate pop case. It is pretty nice. Solid and has a good grip on the sides and a glossy back. It adds a bit more size to it but is solid case. Also comes with a screen protector.
I just got the speck candyshell and love it! Great protection slim case! Only bad thing is that the case scratches easy because its glossy. But rather a case get it than my phone.
I too have the Speck Candyshell. I started with the Best Buy Platinum case (Seidio Innocase II rebranded) and I liked it a lot, but I felt like it might be a bit lacking in a drop from a decent height.
I got the Candyshell to try out and figured I'd return whichever one I liked less. That ended up being the BB Platinum. Like I said, I liked both, but I liked that the Speck is a bit easier to get on and off, and I feel like it would be better from a shock absorption perspective if I were to drop it. It is easy to get in and out of my pocket and it doesn't catch a lot of lint. I don't feel like it adds too much bulk.
Overall, I really like it (aside from the fact that the back shows scratches quite easily, as another poster stated).
I had also ordered the Otterbox Commuter, but decided to cancel the order after I tried the Speck.
As for screen protectors, I decided to try Ghost Armor this time around because I had heard good things about them. They also have a kiosk at a local mall, so I took it there and had them put it on for $20 total out the door (took about 5 minutes; 2-3 of that was putting it in the heater to help it start curing). Has a lifetime warranty, so if it ever gets scratched or messed up in any way, I can get a new protector for free (and if I decided that I wanted them to install it again, it would only be $5 for the labor - though I would likely just do it myself next time).
It is nice and clear, doesn't pick up a ton of fingerprints/oil when compared with some I've used in the past, but when it does, it is very easy to clean. Doesn't seem to affect the colors or anything on the screen. I would definitely recommend it, though from what I hear (and even some I've tried in the past), there are plenty of good options available.
im going to order the full phone xtreme film, 5 bucks i figure its worth a shot.
still looking for the right case though...the speck looks nice, im thinking the body glove might not slide into a pocket that well, i also saw the case mate pop which looks like its pretty similar to the speck
I ordered Defender Case for Desire HD on Amazon. $35
Only difference is the small little hole beside the flash on the back. That can easily be added if need be. It suppose to be the noise cancel mic or something. Not even really sure what that does.
sedio innocase surface II with a sedio screen protector for the desire hd. both work very well. the innocase has lining on inside, adds very little girth and works very very well. dont ever get the bb platinum. while it is made by sedio it is not made to the same standards and scratched the crap out of my husbands nexus s. when we took it off we were pretty pissed.
The case looks and fits great, is less bulky than the Speck case. Not sure if it provides as much protection, but I had a similar case on my Blackberry for well over a year with no issues. Plus, you can't beat the price ($3.99 with free shipping).
I just got my casemate barely there case today in the mail and I like it a lot. I also have the casemate tough case which I'm also happy with but the barely there slips in my pocket with ease
I am thinking about this case because being a girl, I don't have nice shirt pockets like my husband does and I am worried about it getting scratched in my purse or jeans pockets.
