I just want to get rid of bloatware

Hi. I'm new to Android and HTC. The Inspire 4G also happens to be my first touchscreen phone.

So I'm gonna be straight out when I say I am not the "hacking" type. I'm just a girl who wanted a new phone that took good pictures.

However the bloatware on this phone is annoying. Especially the AT&T Navigator and Asphalt 5. There's a few others I'd never use including the Blockbuster app.

So can someone tell me the easiest way (fewest steps) to get from point A to point B? I don't want to make my phone do incredibly fancy things, I just want these programs removed.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks. :-[

the only way i know of, is to root the phone. then install titanium backup pro and either remove or just 'freeze' the applications (which is what i did). i chose to freeze them as i have heard (though i don't know if it's true) that removing them may cause you to not get software updates in the future.

misterbbq is dead-on right. And I loves me some BBQ.

Rooting this one isn't the easiest affair though. Be sure to ask every question you have before you try it, we don't bite here :)
