Hold Down Vol & Press Power

so I m trying to boot into bootloader mode and I know you press vol down and still hold down vol (down) and press power then it goes to the screen where it showes Hboot but it does not let me move it to recovery. It just scans the sd card then ask if I want to update. Any idea why it does not let me do this.

I have rom manager and I did the clockwork recovery and the did the backup stock rom, because I wanted to install gingerbeast

It sounds like bootloader is trying to flash an update file.

Check your SD card for a file 'PD98IMG.zip'. If it;s there, delete it and try to boot into boot loader again.

thanks, yeah I removed it and loaded up just fine.
