Just to introduce myself... I am relatively new to android, 4 months or so using the Viewsonic Gtablet, full time, but I have been playing with it off and on for the last year or so on my HTC Touch Pro 2. Hence the old world user. I do plan on picking up an android phone in the near future, after I payoff some other bills.
As far as the "poqeteer" alias... I was a developer on one of the first hand held computers ever created, the Poqet PC. It ran MS-DOS, with a full 80 x 25 text screen, and full hard keyboard (the keys were actually the size of a full keyboard's key tops, so it was actually possible to touch type!), all in a package that could fit in your pocket. I developed some of the system software and half the built-in custom applications that came with the computer.
I'm still a software engineer, just now doing web based stuff.
