OTA update on rooted HTC AMAZE

I have unlocked bootloader and also rooted HTC Amaze but could not flash wth custom rom or leacked rom. Now OTA update is available. How can I get this OTA update to have ICS on my phone? If I lock the bootleader will that work?

Welcome to Android Central.

You will have to return back to stock. Normally the rule of thumb is you have to be factory stock to receive the OTA update. Some devices you can get away with having root established but this is device specific and it still comes down to having factory stock ROM with all bloatware/stock apps in place.

Thanks for a solution. But I did not change the rom. I just rooted the phone. So I still have factory stock. The OTA failed to load.
