S3 getting hanged . !

i bought a s3 4 months back .. recently updated to jelly bean .. but from past few weeks it is getting stuck in between even when phone is idle and then i have to restart using power button . it also says 'touch wiz is not responding . close or wait ' what should i do about this issue ? please give ur suggestions ..

Can I ask which carrier/region of S3 you have? Also is the phone stock or rooted?

I would suggest rebooting into recovery and clearing the phone's cache. That often helps with many problems.
