What are the difference between the terms gesture and swyping? Is every gesture in typing a "swype" (as a verb), and are all swipes "gestures"?

They are different ways to name the same thing. Gesture typing, swipe, flow ... They just mean sliding your finger from letter to letter and choosing the selected word. Google uses gestures, SwiftKey prefer flow and Swipe, well, swipe

And both swiping and gesture can be made to punctuate, write whole lines (from macros) and for example when you type tho it can autocomplete to thorengs531@hotmail.com?

The text correction and auto complete options will be the same with swipe or type. I've found that the prediction machine works much better with swipe. Once you use it for a little while it's just incredible how well will recognise your style and predict the right word. Never used macros.
