I recently got a new phone, I got a HTC One M9, my old phone was the One S.

On my old phone I could type ttt and it would change it to †††. I can't remember what I did to make that happen?

I am using Google Keyboard and am running Android v5.1.

Hey, yeah the shortcut setting is something I loved with my Samsung phones. Is this an option with the stock keyboard within settings? I know it isn't an option with the Google Keyboard.

In my old phone I was using the Google Keyboard, same as in this new phone. I was able to do it in my old phone and can't remember for the life of me what I did on my last phone.

I have looked high and low through all the settings and can't see anything to add a short cut.
