Did Google break WiFi Direct with 4.3?

From out initial testing, 4.3 clients are no longer able to join a Group Owner in WiFi Direct mode. Anyone else see this problem?

In related news, we are actually building a proximity P2P file sharing app using WiFi Direct (ie AirDrop for Android). We're going into private beta, and we are looking for a handful of early adopter users who can play with the app and give us some critical feedback. The app is called Drop, and it is a simple, fast, and secure way to share files with people/devices in proximity. Really, is WiFi Direct so crappy and underutilized and no one even noticed it is broken?

Probably, but if there's a good use case and you guys can make it work, it could mean a business/product opportunity!
