Why is screenshots on my phone "messed up?"

I'm tried multiple apps, I've tried rooting it.. I tried adjusting display settings.. Nothing seems to work. Any advice on the problem would be appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central! From what I understand, there is no built-in screenshot functionality with Gingerbread. There are apparently some ways to hack it if you're rooted, but I don't know those details. How are you attempting to take a screenshot?

Thanks. I've rooted my phone and it was a success. I downloaded the "root checker" app and it said "congratulations root access has been granted to Superuser." . I've tried using multiple screenshot apps from superuser.. But it's still all the same.. My phone isn't exactly "expensive" it's an LG Optimus 35G

Thankfully I got it to work after digging through other forums!! I downloaded an APP called "Screenshot ER" and it totally fixed the problem! So, I hope anyone who has this same problem finds this forum! I will totally be buying this full app.
