Searching emails on Galaxy S3

I have Galaxy S3 with Android 4.1.2 from AT&T.

Used stock email application to setup my Hotmail accounts, but I don't see any feature to search emails beyond the device, e.g. on Server. Since I only sync for 30 days, what If i need to search emails beyond 30 days.

That feature was very handy in iphone.

Please suggest if there is any ways to achieve same on galaxy s3.

If the device is only set to retrieve emails within the last 30-days then it's not going to be retrievable from the phone. Have you tried using the Gmail app? It's a lot more flexible with retrieving older emails on your device.

Yes, it searches only for 30 days, while iOS had the feature where you can continue your search on the exchange server.

GMAIL app is good, but unfortunately I use Hotmail as my primary email address. Can I setup Hotmail account on the gmail app ?
