My Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 is about a month and a half old now and I have done as much research as possible about battery, RAM, CPU optimizing. My phone is currently not rooted, runs great, has about 8 gigs of storage left after downloading the apps I want, The RAM sticks around the 700mb to 870mb regularly, my phone runs very few apps in the background such as FB, Messages, emails, AVG and G cloud and I have disabled all possible bloatware.

Is there really any reason I should root? I tried a couple weeks ago and screwed up because I got cocky with my tech experience and deleted something I shouldn't have without following a guide. I fixed that issue though but I was thinking about giving it a shot mostly for an even better battery life.

my battery lasts anywhere from 4 and a half hours to 6 hours with heavy use and 9-10 hours with moderate use. Is it really even possible to make it any better? Side note: I use juice defender ultimate on aggressive mode.

Yes for security alone it is still worth it.

I'll consider the security suggestion, thanks. Elimimating ads from my stock browser would be nice as well.
