Hi. I purchased my first smartphone last week, a Windows Lumia. I am returning the phone tomorrow because Microsoft forces the user to sync contacts, calendar, and documents if the user wants to download apps. I find this a huge privacy invasion. What a shame Microsoft doesn't give me q choice to disable this syncing.

so, before I waste even more money...does Android allow me to download apps AND disable syncing of phone contacts, cal, pictures, etc?

if the answer is no, then I will return this phone anway and NEVER own a smartphone. I will just go out and buy a prepaid phone for the rest of my life.
