Is there anyway to delete battery info without flashing a ROM?

I have a galaxy S3 and my battery has been draining very quickly as of late. Not sure if it's due to the battery or the phone reading the battery wrong. I read that people have had some luck by deleting the phone's battery info by flashing a ROM but I don't really know much about that and don't want to harm my phone. Thank you!

Are you a heavy phone user ? Leaving apps in the background does drain battery.

If you could show us screen shots of your battery stats, please? They can be very helpful in diagnosing what may be the problem.

Thank you for responding! My phone usage has not changed at all since I had it; only difference is that my phone's storage is almost full. I always left it plugged into the charger overnight and that would be enough, but now I am it 40% charge very quickly and need multiple charges throughout the day.
I have also attached the pictures as requested.

Sorry for the delay....at work. Your total time doesn't seem that bad, 12 hours is pretty good. Your cell signal looks great, it just seems a few apps are eating your battery like Pinger. How old is the phone battery?

No need to apologize! Umm, I've had the phone for about 8 months and never replaced the battery. 12 hours is pretty good, but I really avoided using it today in order to preserve the battery. When I pulled this page up a few months back, it ws the screen eating most of the battery and not the apps. As for my original question: is there no way to delete the phone's battery reading file without flashing a rom?

Not that I am aware of. That is just wiping the battery stats which has no effect on battery life. It may be possible you need to replace the battery itself.

Okay! The battery finally came in and I also installed the Battery Doctor app to see my usage. The new battery worked a lot better than my old battery but when I uninstalled the pinger app, it was even better. Apparently there was an update on the pinger app that allowed it to constantly check for new messages even when it was "inactive." So it was a combination of things =/ but I think I should be good now. Thanks for you help!
