Tethering on Kitkat / foxfi

Hello:

Anyone know if it's possible to restore tethering on kitkat? When will foxfi come up with a solution? (I know they ran into issues with Jelly Bean as well).

Should I keep waiting or just go get a new phone?

I think it's gone, maybe for good. I've not seen anything to indicate Android has been or is going to be fixed to restore this functionality. I got answers from the FoxFi folks in January that indicate it's a KitKat problem in creating network connections or such. I look on their website and nothing new has been posted, and it still doesn't work. For more details, here's the post from January:
