Welcome to Android Central! If you were trying to get the case off, it may be that you inadvertently pressed the Power and Volume buttons in the right combination to bring up the bootloader or the No Command screen (which comes right before the Recovery Menu).

I'm really not familiar with that phone, but from the No Command screen, try pressing and holding the Power button, then tapping the Volume Up button, then releasing both buttons at the same time. If you see the Recovery Menu, select Reboot System Now.

If that doesn't work, try other button combinations. Another option would be to press and hold the Power button for about 10-15 seconds until it hopefully forces a power off.
