wav files not getting played properly in Android 4.2.2

I have an android application to play audio files. It is working fine with both mp3 and wav files in Ice Cream Sandwich, But when I use wav files in Jelly Bean (4.2.2) last few seconds of the track are not getting played. Suppose the length of track is 11 seconds, then the track stops at 10 seconds. But it is playing mp3 files well.
If I convert wav to mp3 some extra space is getting added in the beginning unnecessarily.
The source code of the application is not available.
I have changed the bit rate of wav files, still the problem persists.
Can anyone please suggest a solution for this..

Hi,.
Have you developed the app?
You say that source code is not available so i guess that you haven't developed it .
In this case you could send a message to the developer detailing the error in order to modify the source code.
In google developers you can find the supported media files :
search in google for android developers supported media files ( I cant post links sorry)
