Android Lollipop WinKey stopped working in my apps

The keyboard windows key ( winkey ) no longer works in Remote Desktop client on Android Lollipop it brings up Google's search input instead.

Which Remote Desktop client? Have you checked to ensure it is compatible with 5.0?

I find a good place to start is the user comments at the Play Store. Be sure to sort by "Newest".

Yeah it's the Microsoft Remote Desktop client on Android. Google seems to have hijacked the Windows key (winkey) to display their search input.
