How do I stop my S5 from updating to OS lollipop?

Not exactly sure how it works on the S5, haven't used a Samsung for awhile now. But, on my phone: Settings>System Update>Software Update>Unclick Auto-download system updates. If you don't check for system updates, you should not receive one. Also, even if the update was downloaded, I don't think you are obligated to install it. Like I said, not sure this option is available for your phone.

I do not have a S5, I have a Nexus 5. For a week now I have been having the notification to update from 5.0.1 to 5.1. I am rooted, so it should fail. I told it to update, it downloaded the files and then asked me to reboot and install, again I said yes it rebooted and tried to install but failed. Came back with a error because I am rooted. The nagging notification went away. Then later I did a manual flash using WugFresh for Nexus phones.
