app shortcuts in notification pulldown - how to get rid of them

I'm getting google, flickr, amazon, etc. shortcut icons in my notification pulldown with my new sony z2. I want to get rid of them but can't figure out how.

Any suggestions?

You can go into the individual apps and turn off notifications in settings. Any app that does not have an explicit option for this, you can find in Application Manager and uncheck the notification box.

I don't know Sony's launcher (which is what you're looking at ), but try scrolling the apps and see if there's an "Edit" item. If there is, you should be able to remove all the apps from the notification pulldown. (Or just put the ones you frequently use in there.)

I upgraded to lollipop and it's working now when I turn off the notifications in the app settings. Weird.
