I know this is old hat to you - the web is full of people complaining about Lollipop and overheating - but I would have thought that by now there would be some standard approach to the problem. Today I chatted with Samsung Australia who admitted nothing and suggested I send it to the service centre there. I am in Cambodia so this is impractical and expensive. I did a factory reset but the problems are still there.
Overheating, battery drain are the main culprits.
Finally I do not play games and very seldom watch videoes (and never full length movies). So its not overwork that is troubling the device.
Can anyone advise me on this matter?
Thanks.
All the above problems are still there despite a third factory reset. I have not tried the installation of a fresh copy of 5.02 as I have no laptop and am frankly not too confident about my ability to handle the process.
However the problems persist and 2 additions - the finger scanner is troublesome and my App Lock (from Domobile) was blocking several apps that had not been set to be locked. I have since uninstalled App Lock.
I would appreciate any suggestions that could help. At times I feel I am working for Samsung and Google finding what is wrong with the device and updates.
