If my Kitkat 4.4.2 is the Polish version, will I update to Polish Lollipop too?

Long story short. I updated to Lollipop. Battery life sucked. Factory reset phone. Still not too great. Tried to install my geographic version of 4.4.2 (Vodafone New Zealand). Failed. Phone had no os for a while. Saw someone said the Polish one works. Tried it and now I'm on the Polish version of Kit Kat. The battery doesn't seem to be much different for some reason and just out of curiosity, if I decide to update to Lollipop again, will it be the Lollipop of Poland or no?

edit: My phone was originally an unlocked eu SM-N9005 model
