Why am I unable to upgrade to Android 4?

i can't upgrade to andrid 4

i have a acer iconia tab A500 i go to the settings and press software update but it tells me your network is poor but my network is fine it's fast help i don't now is my tablet or its the app

Welcome to the forums. Have you tried connecting to a wifi router? Your local library might have one, or some places like McDonald's offer free internet. At least this way, you can test if it is your network or your phone.
