Why don't I have any sound from my speakers?

i have a nexus 5 that just updated with the 6.0.1 ota this week. tonight i noticed that notifications, ringtones, and music are not coming through the speaker. the music will play through the bluetooth in my car. i've rebooted the phone twice tonight and was able to get the speakers to work, just once each time. after that initial use, the speaker would stop working again. i've checked the do not disturb function, it wasn't on and i deleted the premade rule selections in the phone just in case that was the problem. the phone is not rooted, i'm hoping to find a fix for this issue without having to do a factory reset.

Hi

It would appear that you are one of the few, to whom are experiencing issue after the MM update(s). Here are your only two options, in my opinion.

1. Wipe Cache Partition in recovery. No data loss will occur.
2. Full Factory Reset (I recommend this one) BUT YOU WILL LOSE ALL DATA, BACK UP YOUR IMPORTANT FILES.
