OS 5.0 update installed Kids Mode. How to remove

In addition to cartoony colors which annoy me, I got an app called Kids Mode. I'm 74 and live alone. I don't need this app and didn't ask for this app to be installed. Why I manually install my Linux and Unix installations. My machine - my rules. I've touched the icon and drug it to the remove/trash can icon and it keeps popping back up. What gives? How to remove it permanently?

Welcome to Android Central! Which device do you have? I assume it's a Samsung device--go to the App Manager, select Kids Mode, and tap Disable (if possible).

If you prefer a mobile device that's "your machine--your rules," I suggest you consider Nexus devices, since they're mostly bloat-free (if you don't consider Google apps bloat). Other manufacturers and carriers are always going to add a number of "features" that you usually can't remove unless you root the device--that's pretty much standard.
