I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 that was recently upgraded to the Marshmallow version of the OS and I am having WI-Fi issues. Does anyone have a resolution and know when an update will be available?
Under Wi-Fi->Advanced, I do not have the ability to change this setting. I saw this option on the internet, but my version does not have it.
I have a router with the new 802.11ac standard and before the Marshmallow upgrade, the Wi-Fi performance was great.
Perhaps changing the channel the router is on? Everything may be so congested on the same channel that may be slowing things up. There are wifi analyzing apps on Play so that you can see the number of signals on a channel there are.
The issue has been resolved. After many internet searches, I can across a solution that indicated that an app could caused the issue. I noticed when I launched my Wi-Fi, an app appeared. I uninstalled this app and now my Wi-Fi stays connected and the speed matches what is reported using my computer.
