My Yezz Andy 4E2l phone running Android 4.4.2 won't stay connected to my carrier, AT&T. If I turn airplane mode on and off again, it will connect for a few minutes, but will then refuse to connect again.

When it isn't connected, it shows that it has several bars on the notification bar but it will not send or receive texts or calls, and cannot use mobile data. The issue seems to be with the operating system, and quite a few other people have had a similar issue here:

Is this a known issue, is there any potential work-around, can the operating system be changed to an older or newer version, or changed to a new OS altogether?

    Any ideas?

Welcome to Android Central! It's unlikely to be an issue with the Android OS per se. It could be a firmware issue (which is specific to the manufacturer), but my guess is that a relatively uncommon (and older) phone like yours is unlikely to have any official system updates available. Downgrading to a previous version would require rooting the phone and finding a copy of the that firmware somewhere on the web, which I also think is unlikely.

Check to see if the APN settings are correct for AT&T: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e?...token=ofouvJEf
