How can I root my Alcatel One Touch Pop 7 LTE

I want to root my Alcatel One Touch Pop 7 Lte Tablet. Android 6.0.1, build number BC6-UM0. I do not have access to a computer because mine was stolen a month ago. Tried Kingo app but didn't work and I don't trust Kingroot. Would appreciate some help.

You will need a PC to root any Marshmallow running device. None of the one click root method will work because of an updated restriction and security to the boot image

There are different reasons that a user wants to root his/her phone..... One can be to be able to delete bloatwares or unused OEM pre-installed apps to free up space, another can be to give apps system privileges. So it all depends on why you want to root your device.

Android 6.0.1 can be rooted by KingRoot app, maybe you can have a try.
