Battery Optimization not working in O beta?

Just curious about this. I unplugged last night at 100% charge and the phone sat on the nightstand untouched for 6+ hours. As you can see, it never went into optimization mode and burned through a significant amount of charge while off...

It is a Pixel XL, by the way.

I have a Pixel and am running Android O beta 4. I normally power down my phone at night but a few nights ago I left it on by mistake. It was at 88% when I went to bed. When I got up the next morning it was at 86%. I don't know where the 2% went and didn't worry about it but "Doze" apparently worked for me.

I'm obviously no Android expert. I am curious. Your system used 22% but Android OS used only 9%. Any idea what part of "system" used the other 13%?

I have no idea.

To be fair (maybe it's applicable?), I was 5,000 miles away from home at the time - near Sao Paulo, Brasil, for the entire week on business. My network is Google Project Fi and i'm not sure what network I was on but, as you can see in the image, I had very good Wi-Fi and Cellular signals at the time.

I will try to remember to do another test tonight and see what pops.

The page that actually lists battery usage per app would also be helpful in determining if there's an app keeping the phone awake, too.

I just happened to get the Android O OTA update last night, so I installed that and then went to sleep with the Pixel XL plugged in. Woke up at 2:00 AM or thereabouts and unplugged at 100% charge. Woke up again a few hours later and checked battery stats. The first image is what I saw immediately after opening the stats (looks perfect!), and the second one is what it changed to immediately after taking the first screenshot.

This is the first thing i noticed on my 6P as well with the final Oreo release. Back on Nougat 7.1.2 now and it all seems to be good.
