I own a Samsung Galaxy S8.

Updated to Oreo last month. Battery drain caused me to factory reset last week.

Battery performance has improved, but now are other issues are presenting themselves.

Images are not downloading at the high quality I was used to while exploring online. Most thumbnails appear blurry/low quality. This is also popping up in apps, such as TripAdvisor. Images are blurry and way below the high quality I was used to.

Maybe because I'm reading too much into it, I've convinced myself that colors and quality appears off/not up to standards on videos, as well. Youtube, online videos, etc.

My display settings are: WQHD with Adaptive Display

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

Since pictures on a web page are about 75dpi, we can't see any problem.

Thank you for your reply. With all due respect, though, this isn't the high quality I was used to before the update.

To me, these photos are blurry and not the HD quality I was seeing before.

Maybe I'm just misremembering, but I'm not that old. :)

Have you got data saver turned on in chrome?

No, it's not turned on in chrome nor on the device.

I had suspected the same. It's as if it is turned on, though, and all downloaded images are being compressed. That's the best way I can describe it.

Additionally, I did reach out to Samsung yesterday. Customer service rep mentioned this could be a hardware error - that Oreo wasn't interacting with the hardware correctly. After they walked me through some troubleshooting steps to no avail, ironically, I was told to contact the app developers (plural) to report this issue.
