Help me stop 'System UI Stopped' Message, Please!!!

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 and for a while ... months ... I've had this annoying 'System UI stopped' message pop up over all of whatever is running on my phone, including Google Maps (which is incredibly dangerous while I'm driving). I have looked up how to get rid of this message and have tried many things, but nothing helps. I heard that this was an issue a couple of years ago as well and was a system exception error that was ultimately fixed. My phone recently updated to Android 8.0.0, but seems to have no further updates in the cue. Has this been fixed in later Android updates and I haven't gotten them yet? I have T-Mobile as my carrier. Thank you for any help you can give me.

I have a s7 on tmobile. I've seen that during reboots. Clear the cache partition and reboot.
