Disable Google Voice on Moto g4 running Android 7.0

Somehow my keyboard has been replaced with Google Voice for everything. I don't especially want to memorize/ speak my passwords. Been trying to bring back the keyboard and disabling Google Voice to no satisfaction. No instructions online have helped as my phone doesn't have the standard options (apparently). Perhaps because I'm running the Nova tweaking app? Any help would be nice. I can't even search anymore on any app because the Google Voice thing only works intermittently.

Welcome to Android Central! Are any Accessibility options turned on in Settings>Accessibility?

Just the Nova Launcher, which has a Voice Hotword setting. I've disabled it which only makes Google Voice do nothing.

Are you using the Gboard keyboard app, or some other keyboard?

I assume s I've never installed anything for that other than what came stock. I can't even get the keyboard to open.

Moto Assist is on, but all options are disabled.

Hmm, I'll be honest -- I'm never quite sure why this happens to some people. Can you show us a screenshot of the speech-to-text dictation window that comes up when you want to type? http://forums.androidcentral.com/ge...ide-how-post-screenshots-android-central.html

I uninstalled the Nova Launcher and the problem went away. I think it was a recent update to the Launcher that caused or conflicted with the basic set-up. Thanks you for the help, which made me play around with everything more.
