Comes loaded with Google wallet yet there's no setting to turn NFC on? See the port for IR blaster, but I'm assuming its not functional?

Also, the screen between the the LG and the Nexus 7 isn't even close. The nexus 7 blows it out of the water. The LG is very warm/almost dingy yellow.

Oops, it's not in More. This is an LG device running the first Jelly Bean version. Here's what it has, might be similar on the LG device you have.

Well, don't know if the NFC hardware is still on board but there are no NFC (or Android Beam) settings to be found. Taking a quick glance over at the specs listed at the Google Play Store and you'll notice no mention of NFC their either.

Really is perplexing considering the form factor for the GPE is identical to the standard LG skinned model (color withstanding, of course). I personally find I don't generally use NFC on any of the devices I've owned that have it (Nexus 4, Galaxy Note II, HTC One, Nexus 7 2013, Note 10.1 2014) so I won't miss it but if it was in fact left out of the GPE edition, kind of a puzzling decision.

Update: I installed Trigger (formerly NFC Task Launcher) on my G Pad GPE to see if maybe the NFC was on by default (if on board at all) but none of the NFC tags I had previously set up a while back worked. Did the same thing on my Nexus 7 to make sure they still worked and all activated the settings they were previously configured for. Also, the sidebar menu on the Nexus 7 includes a 'Other NFC Actions' category but it's missing on the G Pad.
