Hi,
I just got my wife this tablet and I'm not real familiar with it so I could use some help from the group please. Is there a way I can make phone calls with this since I have a AT&T phone number on the tablet and how would I make text messages. Sorry for the newbie questions really can need some help

Welcome to Android Central!

More than likely AT&T has put the tablet on a data only plan. Therefore the phone portion and text portion will probably not work. You will have to use a service like Google Hangouts Dialer to make calls and receive text outside of that.
