Is it safe to buy a used rooted lg gpad 8.3 off eBay?

I see someone is selling a used one rooted with CM11 installed. Got me interested since apparently new egg is now out of stock

It might be safe but it is equally possible that it is bricked and unusable but if it is you can fairly easily get your money back.

Never lost money off eBay either and like you have bought lots of stuff. I look at it this way at least now I don't have to screw around rooting especially since I rarely use a PC anymore

Well finally got that rooted GPad from eBay. Was broke on arrival. Contacted the seller and he refunded my $200 and apologized. I'll wait for a new egg sale to buy another.

Arrived with a damn cracked screen of all things! Couldn't believe it. Packing was crap. Gonna replace it with an open box from new egg for $229
