I can see the contents of the first text message when its sent to me But when additional text messages are received from the same person, I am unable to browse them. I just see the notification that I have 2 messages. I am using LG R watch and Samsung Note 4. I am also unable to Reply to a text message. When I click Reply, nothing happens. Do I have a defective unit? Thanks.

I don't have a smart watch yet, but I believe if you use Hangouts to handle your texts you can scroll through them on the watch, but not with the stock Messages app. This sucks if you're on T-Mobile because you can no longer send/receive MMS messages over wifi, I believe (only the stock app has full texting functionality over wifi with T-Mobile).

Not sure about the problem with replying. Maybe try setting Hangouts as your default handler for texts and see if that works for that also.

Use an app called "Textra" as your default texting app and you will be able to respond to text messages via voice. Its a good free texting app.

You can also use the new google messenger app. It also allows you to respond via voice.

Android Wear does not yet have the capability to scroll through prior text messages on the watch. Tizen allows this but Tizen's other weaknesses supersede this small benefit. Apparently the new version of Android Wear coming out will allow you to go back over swiped away cards. Not sure if this will allow you to focus on just one person's message or not. Honestly, easier just to pull out your phone if you need to go that deep.
