Help transfer pictures from old phone?

Hi guys,
I finally received my lg g2. It's studding! I used to transfer my pictures and files from my sd card. How can I transfer from my galaxy s4 to the lg g2? Also my contacts didn't sync with google for some reason. It says it did but not a single contact was sync. I ended up copying the contacts to my SIM card so I could have them on the lg g2. Any help please? Thanks

Make sure in your settings > accounts > google > (your email) > contacts are check marked.
You can always verify online to see if you contacts are saved there.
I use G+ to save all my photos.
Just sign in and all the photo will show up in you gallery
