Will g2 get kit kat?

A Sprint customer, I have preordered my G2 eventually it will be updated to kitkat. Then the advantages of the Moto X come to my phone correct?

Until we know what kitkat brings I wouldn't assume the advantages that come with the Moto X will come to the G2.

Probably not since 4.4 is two versions above the current version. So we'll see 4.3.3 then maybe 4.4 next fall. That's the way android manufacturers roles

Not always at all. The fact the G2 didn't launch with 4.3, when it frankly could have, would suggest that lg were just waiting for 4.4 to be their first proper update.

While we are both hopeful that this is the case, LG was working with Google last year and they didnt update the Optimus G. I am hopeful but all there is so far is whispers and conjecture. No one wants it more than me because I am getting this phone either way in two weeks. I dont care for Samsung and want to see them have some competition in the Android world because its healthier for everybody.

I do agree with your point though that people cant say that there is no way that LG is going to update. Youre right that only LG knows either way.
