LG G2 Verizon Facebook App Problems

I have had the LG G2 Verizon for about a month now. I love the phone! The only problem I have had is that when I first received the phone, I put the Facebook for Android on it. It was version 3.5. about a week later, I was sent an update through Google Play. I updated and it went to version 3.7. Right away I knew I wasn't going to like the update! The notification button and the other two at the top were now at the bottom and in a black background. They are now too close to the buttons on my phone and I am repeatedly hitting my back button on the phone instead of what I wanted was the notification button. I uninstalled and reinstalled and that did not fix it. I then noticed that if I clicked on "like" for something on the phone, it did not show up on the computer and it would also happen the other way around. Also there was no way to set it to most recent posts. On Monday evening I was seeing at the top of my page posts from early Sunday morning! Sometime when I would hit the back arrow, the buttons that are now on the bottom of Facebook, would start blinking rapidly. I have called Google Play and talked to an app specialist and they had me uninstall it again. When reinstalled, it was version 3.8. This time when I signed in, it looked normal again. I thought I was fine. I then backed out of it and then later clicked on my Facebook app and it now showed the buttons down at the bottom again! I then decided to sign out of Facebook on my phone. I then signed back in and it looked fine again! Can somebody tell me what is going on! Google is telling me I have to contact a Facebook developer. I have called LG and they don't support third party apps. Please help!!
